A.1070 is based on the renown ‘Fledermaus Chair’ (728) by Josef Hoffmann who designed it in 1907 for Cabaret Fledermaus in Vienna. It was manufactured for many years after by Jacob & Josef Kohn and became part of the permanent collection display of Design Museum Gent. OpenStructures created an interactive installation in relation to items from the collection, including a modular version of this chair and based on wood screws contributed to the system by Diane Steverlynck & Maud Vande Veire. project assistance: Yolanda Blum photography: OS_Studio, Lili Dellesalle
